What is jiofi.local.html?

Jiofi.local.html is the url for accessing settings page for your JioFi device. This page gives the access to configure various settings for your JioFi device such as the Wifi password, network name(SSID), the encryption method, DHCP settings etc. It is recommended that you change your default SSID and password after the first login into JioFi

How to login into JioFi using jiofi.local.html

  1. Connect your device to JioFi over WiFi or USB. You can use either laptop or your mobile for connecting to the JioFi device.
  2. After you have successfully connected your device, open your browser(Chrome/Firefox/IE etc.) and type http://jiofi.local.html and press enter.
  3. Locate the login button on the top right corner of the screen and then click on it.
  4. You will be prompted to enter your username and password. Enter the default username administrator and the default password administrator and click on login.
  5. You should be successfully authenticated now and able to configure you JioFi settings.

How to the change the JioFi password?

Once you have logged in into your JioFi device, you can follow the below steps to change your password:

  1. Click on Network tab on the top
  2. Click on Wifi Configuration on the left
  3. Click on Secure Key
  4. Enter your desired password in the password field.
  5. Click on apply and then confirm by clicking on OK.

Once you follow the above steps, your device will be restarted and this will cause you wifi to disconnect. You can connect to your device again by entering the new password you just set.

Password Tip: Choose a strong password which contains a combination of lower case alphabets(a-z), uppercase alphabets(A-Z) and special characters (@, #, $, %, … etc.)
